January 1, 2025: As of January 1, 2025 we will be operating under the new name of the abo coop, LLC, a limited liability company, and we will be organized as a worker cooperative. The abo coop, LLC is an architectural cooperative dedicated to nurturing a community of responsible, diverse owners and designers. Together, we are committed to enhancing the built environment and creating spaces that truly reflect and serve our communities.

The coop is a realization of Ron Abo's 48 years as principal architect and owner of The Abo Group and its predecessor firms. Converting to a worker cooperative supports The Abo Group's vision of empowering employees, creating sustainable business practices, and fostering a more equitable work environment.

April 4, 2019: Fruitdale Lofts wins the 2019 ULI Colorado Impact Award for the Infill Category.

March 26, 2019: The Abo Group welcomes designer Joanna Iga Niemiec-Restrepo to the firm.

March 4, 2019: History Colorado awarded a Stephen H. Hart Award for Historic Preservation for the rehabilitation of the Fruitdale School.
