National Renewable Energy Laboratory Field Test Laboratory Building Lab Remodel
The Field Test Laboratory Building (FTLB) was the first research facility constructed at the NREL campus on South Table Mountain in Golden. Completed in 1984, the building has been intensively utilized for a broad range of research activities. In 1989, the abo group provided a building analysis and feasibility study for the FTLB. the abo group was again retained in 1994 to provide design services for several major additions and renovations for the building including a new Central Plant addition, installation of new redundant exhaust fan system, a new office support addition and development of new and existing space into bio chemistry, microbiology, fermentation, media preparation, and other support areas that include numerous support and laboratory facilities. The most recent of these renovations were for the Genomics Laboratories; Instrument/Analytical Laboratories 139-142, 151; and Lab 205.
