The Kilo Laboratory is a low volume, high potency compound
production facility. Primary among the design requirements were flexibility and contamination control. The design team creatively met these requirements with innovative designs.
The modular design of the process suites lends itself to a flexible and efficient work environment. Flexibility is gained by two process suites located around a shared service core to accommodate the manufacture of two separate products simultaneously without any potential for cross contamination.
Each area within the Kilo laboratory was designated with a given protection level that is based on the potential for contamination of the product due to exposure to the room environment. The
