the abo group developed the space planning and interior design concept for two floors of Denver’s Centerra Building for the United Airlines Regional Office Consolidation Project. The space plan had to accommodate approximately 19,227 rentable square feet of office space at the top two levels of the building which had been previously occupied by a law office. the abo group was responsible for the design of the interior space, including custom furnishings, materials, and finishes. The design takes full advantage of those components of the previous tenant’s improvements while making major changes to the remaining spaces. The design resulted in an evolution from an office environment of predominantly private, closed offices to one with a much more open, team-oriented layout. Major areas of the existing floors were cleared of previous office partitions in favor of open environments with flexible workstations.
